Cathal Coughlan has been making music since the early 1980's, both under his own nane and as a member of the groups Fatima Mansions and Microdisney, principally as a vocalist.

In addition to writing songs for the above projects he has provided the music for two feature films and published short prose works and criticism in magazines and newspapers in the UK and Ireland, form where he comes.
